soul traveler

I am a soul traveler.

for many years I have been on the move, through time and space, venturing ever further into unknown territories.

I have traveled to the deepest depths, to the hidden places of unimaginable horrors, locked away, but haunting me forever. I braved them, one after another, setting them free to rest in peace.

I have traveled to the lofty heights of freedom, of radiant joy soaring on wings as light and delicate as the breeze on a mellow summer's morning.

I have traveled to lush green pastures, to rest and play and bask in the rays of the sun.

I have traveled to the oceans of grief and sorrow, finally to sail out of their swirls into calmer waters.

I have traveled wide and far, roamed and strayed, regained my sense of direction only to lose it right away.

I have been hurt, injured, wounded more times than I can count, and laid low to heal and recover.

I am left covered with the marks of many battles, not scars but ornaments to my suffering. reminders that always, no matter the desolation, there is beauty right there, patiently waiting to show itself.
